What i did during my time in RedHat.

Monday

Red Hat Office

This is the text area where you can enter your blog details for Monday. -3 On Monday we started off the day by learning about what Red Hat is and what they do. We did some icebreakers to warm up and also listened to talks from various employees like Cathal, Ivan and Artem. They gave us a presentation on what specific job they did and how they got here, detailing their schooling experience and what their job entails. We then learned about Agile, and demonstrated our learning via a game/task were we had to build 2 specific potatos for a customer.

Overall it was a fun and relatively easy day and I hope to learn more about IT and coding in the coming days.

Tuesday

Red Hat

On Tuesday we started learning about command scripts and how to apply/have fun with them. We used different commands such as ‘mkdir new’ and ‘sudo dnf install cowsay’ to have fun with scripting. We also had more talks from more employees about their jobs and how it links to IT. Then we created a GitHub account to log our learning.

Wednesday

Red Hat Tys

This is the text area where you can enter your blog details for Wednesday. On Wednesday we fixed up our pull requests from the previous day and updated our blog. Afterwards we were assigned a tem-building task that took virtually the whole day. We also recieved a talk from Donal Springs, who told us about how he started at RedHat. Finally, we organised ourselves into groups and did a presentation on Rain gardens and how it could link to AI.

Learned how to fix our pull requests
Built a rollercoaster with a working loop and strengthened our team-building.
Showcased a presentation on Rain Gardens and the effects it could have on AI.

Overall I had a fun day today and I look forward to Python coding tomorrow.
