Monday

Red Hat Office

In the morning, we got a talk on what RedHat is about. We learned that RedHat is a software company with many locations around the world. We then got a tour of the office, and we were shown where everything is and where we will be. We then learned about agile and played team game with mr. potato heads, and we got signed up to Github and we learned a bit of what it is about, we started learning about the blogs. We played games for a few hours then we were back on the computers.


Tuesday

Red Hat

At 9:30 we did stand up, we talked about what we did the day before. Pat showed us some code on Bash, and how it all works and the technicalities behind it. After lunch, we learned about student life. We talked about what college is like, and how you should pick a course that you have intrest in. After that, we talked about women in tech. There is now a big push for women to work in tech because there is not as many. After that we did our blog then went home.


Wednesday

Red Hat Tys

In the morning we did stand up, then we did history of computing, then we did and engineering task - trying to build towers out of pasta and making a marshmallow balance on top of it. After lunch we did something similar but we had to make a rollercoaster out of paper straws and have a 360 degree loop that works.


Thursday

Red Hat

In the morning we did stand up and talked about what we did the day before. Sean gave us a talk about AI and the history of AI. Dominik then gave us a talk and a workshop on InstructLab, and we created different AI scenarios and questions. We learned that AI isnt always accurate and sometmes has these things called hallucinations where is gives you false information, and just makes up stuff. We then made a presentation on rain gardens usuing AI and generating images using AI


Friday

In the morning at 9:30 we did stand up in the canteen. After that around 10 we started programming robot cars with microbits. We had a sender and a reciever. The sender was the microbit that we used to control the car, and the reciever was the one that was connected to the car. We used radio signals to then control the microbit which controlled the car. After we got our robots set up, we had some races. For lunch we got pizza and then we did more races. We then did a variation of Agile, and then finished our blogs
