Monday

On Monday morning, I came in and we all had to sign in for the day. We we all then gathered into a room where we began the introduction to Red Hat. Jen had led this introduction and then gave us a tour around the office, the office itself is really nice and spacious.

After this, we enjoyed a mario kart tournament and got to play other nintendo games like bowling and tennis.At one we had our break where most of us continued playing with the Nintendo or pool.
Before our workshop, we had to do an icebreaker to get to know eachother. For this icebreaker we got into groups of 3 and played 2 truths and a lie, through this game we learnt more about eachother.
Our first workshop was after lunch.It was about Agile, I really enjoyed this because I learnt about the principles of Agile and the process in which thiS happens. We learnt that there is 3 main roles that are, product owner, scrum master and the developers. We then got to experience this process by building potato heads which was also really fun.

Tuesday

On Tuesday, we done our first stand up with Nigel , this is an activity where we all stand up one at a time and discuss what we done the day before.

Our first workshop of the day was about Github we learnt how to use this programme and start creating our blogs about what we do each day. At first Github was really confusing to get a hang of but it is now easier to use it.I was a bit confused on how to confirm my edits at first but all the interns helped me in the end. We also got our laptops that we get to use for th rest of the week. -After we had our lunch from 1 - 2. Nichola and I got a few snakcs from the canteen and then sat down for the rest of the break.
Then for the rest of the day we learnt the basics of coding Python. The coding was only enjoyable to do when you could understand it, a lot of it was difficult and repitive.
But after we learnt the basics we played a game called ‘ Crack a Million Codes’, I liked this game because it was fun to get through each level.
