TY Redhat Work Experience

Day 1

9th March 2026

On Monday, I arrived at Redhat at 9. When I got into the reception I was greeted by the friendly interns. My first impressions were very good and the place had a very calm atmosphere. I signed in at the reception and went to the meeting room. There were a couple of students from other schools. We were welcomed by all of the staff and they introduced themselves to us. Then we got an office tour of the building. After that we got some free time. I competed in the mario kart competition and got 3rd place. Then I played some Nintedo Tennis and pool. Then we learned about about AGILE and we got to work in groups to do the potato head project.

Day 2

10th March 2026

On Tuesday, We did our daily stand-up at 9:30 and talked about what we learned about yesterday. Then we learned all about gits and github. Using github, we started on our blogs. After a break, we started learning about python, what its used for and how to use it. we downloaded a program and we used it to do excersises with python. I thought it was really interesting, and I made a number geussing game with the python. Then we did the “Cracking one million passwords” project. It was pretty fun but a bit hard.

Day 3

11th March 2026

On Wednesday, I arrived at the meeting room and we did our daily stand-up. Then, we had a talk about the hisory of computing. In my opinion it was really ineteresting. After a little break, we started learning about BASH and CLI. Then we did a treasure hunting mission in which we had to use BASH to find the treasure and I enjoyed it a lot. Then we had a talk about student life. All of the interns stood in the front of the room and they all talked about their life as a student. It was very informative and we got to ask a lot of questions.

Day 4

12th March 2026

On Thursday, I arrived at 9:30 at the meeting room. We did our daily stand-up with Nigel and then James came in and gave us a talk about ai. The talk was very interesting and he showed us how to properly use ai with homework or studying. James then showed us Notebook LM and compiled all of our google form entries into a podcast and quiz and it was very cool. Later on, Rosie spoke to us about Snapshot Dubuque Iowa which was a project
